Some words from riversongrapture......
I want to start by saying you all ROCKED THIS (pun intended)!!!!!
Honestly, I was completely blown away by the level of participation and the stellar curation that took place in this challenge.
Going into this, I was very excited, but also a little unsure of how well a strand of beads would be received as the featured item. As a jewelry maker, I find endless inspiration in beads, but I worried that others might not feel that same pull, something that would propel them to want to make a treasury based on a supply that represents the start of a handmade creation, instead of the end result. Of course, I quickly recognized that the imaginative minds of our non-team participants would take my strand of beads and use them to create masterpieces!
I thoroughly enjoyed each treasury – the diversity and variety of concepts that were presented was amazing. There were so many treasuries that represented things that are important to me: nature, the environment, creativity and family to name a few. There also were treasuries that had such subtle brilliance to them that I literally just stared in awe. And if I were to judge on aesthetics alone – choosing a winner would be an impossible task, there were just SO many beauties!! I actually think having an item as versatile as a strand of beads was an obstacle when it came time to judge, as the treasuries were so different & unique that it was hard to compare and actually choose “THE” winner. But, ultimately one treasury kept drawing me back. It is so representative of my happy place – on the water, in a canoe, a few pretty pebbles in my pocket, nature all around…absolute bliss!
Thank you jessicatorres for creating “River Rock”. It rocked my world!
Love to you all,

Congrats to jessicatorres! How about showing her treasury some NonTeam love?
She will be choosing the Inspiration Item for Challenge #28. She'll also be judging it.
Check back here on Thursday at noon (eastern time) for the start Challenge #29!
