Winning Treasury - Challenge #33

Some words from ripecardsandjewelry......

This was my first experience with the non team challenge, both in making the treasury that was chosen for challenge #32 and with judging. I’ve spent lots of time admiring my fellow Etsian's treasuries and I’m always surprised in the breadth of variety and creativity I’m also never disappointed in the beauty that can be conveyed with just sixteen items that all seem unrelated until you put them together. Viewing the treasuries from this week’s challenge was no exception. I saw everything from honeybees and honeycombs to geometric shapes, beach side escapes, lovely dockside weddings, and even a black and white composition that was quite evocative and dramatic. I would have never thought my little necklace could go to Morocco or vacation at a lake house, but this week it did.

I started with a list of about 50 treasuries, pushing the ones I kept going back to slowly to the top of the list. I finally narrowed it down to three, and from there to the winner “Date at the Drive In” by Chronopolis. I just thought it was so romantic and I loved the fresh colors that were used and how my necklace was incorporated into the mix. I also loved the vintage details and the harkening to another time and place, yet it was also quite modern and chic. It was not an easy choice as there were so many treasuries that literally took my breath away, and even though I will be listing 10 honorable mentions, even that was a very hard task as I wish I could have named 30 more.

I so appreciate my fellow non-team members treasury making efforts - I was delighted to see all of your creative efforts and I applaud them. I’m humbled and honored to have been chosen and I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead. Thank you!

Wow, I still can't believe I won, there were SO many gorgeous treasuries! Thank you so much! :D I had a lot of fun putting this treasury together, and your beautiful necklace was such a great inspiration, I could have made another 20 treasuries based around it :)
