When I found out I won last week's challenge, my exact words to Sarah were: "what?? no freaking way!!!" This has been such a great week, I love the creativity and artistry of this team. So many different interpretations of the inspiration piece. It became a spaceship, a wave, a shard of glass, the curves of a woman's body, a snake, a pair of jeans, even Darth Vader's helmet! I loved every treasury, so much fun to open each one and go on a journey of imagination. You are an amazing group of storytellers, and I am honored to have had this experience.
That said, with much difficulty, I narrowed it down to my top 21 treasuries, and then I just knew who the winner was. Every image was one that fit perfectly with the theme. Real and gritty and provocative - each photo is one that if I could, I would shoot myself and have in my Toxic LA series. The last frame was the clincher - a beautiful girl who has become lost and infected with the toxicity of the city. Karma, you just nailed it. The winner:
