Wowee, what a week! I have been in a state of shock ever since I started receiving convos from several of you on Wednesday congratulating me on my win – I had no idea (I would’ve spruced up my shop a little LOL)! I should’ve had an inkling then that the week was going to be most unusual. First, all of these fabulous treasuries started pouring in – each time I opened one, I would think “Yes, this could be the winner!”. Then the fab treasury from Sinead of Irish Viking Designs, “Fairest of Them All”, hits the FP and the inspiration item sells! Wow! So an alternate item has to be chosen, and a whole new type of treasury starts appearing – so different from the first ones, and I keep thinking how am I going to compare apples to oranges? And lo and behold, here comes a treasury from the FlashMob with that title – “Apples to Oranges”, which totally cracked me up! And speaking of titles, this team can rock a name – they were as intriguing and clever as the treasuries themselves (Wicker Witch of the West anyone?). And even then the excitement is not over – another FP by Natalie of The Silk Moon!
There are so many folks to thank….Sharon of KnotChaCha, thanks so very much for picking “Sedona” and giving me the opportunity to experience this most humbling event. To Sarah DeMoss and the other team volunteers – you guys are awesome! This team runs like clockwork, and I know that doesn’t just happen by itself. And to each and everyone who took the time to create a treasury – THANK YOU!! I truly mean it when I say there were literally dozens and dozens that totally captivated and/or enchanted me – this team has so much talent that it’s nearly impossible to pick a “winner” Each creation had its own personality and vibe, and I loved exploring them all – so much fun! It’s really quite amazing to see so many different themes originate from one item (or two). From bright, fresh, and crisp, to moody, dark and creepy, and back again. Fairy tales, scary tales, history lessons, art shows – it was all there.
I started with about 60 favorites, regretfully cut it to 40, then 30, then 20 – each cut more painful than the one before (seriously!). I finally wound up with a Top 5, any one of which could have been the winner. But there was one that never left my mind – it was original and clever, and was just perfect for the inspiration item. “The Planets are Aligned” by Exaltation was a pure delight, and is this week’s winner. Congratulations Jen – I hope you enjoy your week as much as I have! And again, HUGE thanks and blessings to each one of you – this team is the BEST!
