Of all the treasury competitions I've participated in so far, this was the most exciting, most artistically satisfying and most difficult to judge. I wasn't really sure about choosing a rose-related item at first, knowing that it would be limiting the color and theme choice when making treasuries. But then I decided to trust your creativity (and I wanted to make it a real 'challenge') and wow, you really went beyond my expectations. I honestly never thought that so many original ideas and color combinations could come out this little brooch.
I was especially drawn to treasuries that have distinct themes, unusual colors and great overall balance. After narrowing my list down to four I had a hard time making my final decision, but I chose this in the end as it had that soothing appeal that made me come back again and again:

Clearly I was struck by the colors as soon as I opened the treasury - so unconventional! All those different colors blend in so well together that I get the impression of looking at a single work of art with many complementing elements. That is talent! And of course the gorgeous theme, and the way that theme is weaved throughout the whole page with effortless grace. When looking at treasuries, I often think what it would be like to replace some items or to change the arrangement a bit. For Eveline's I coudln't think of any different combination at all. Every element is perfect, and all sitting in their own perfect spots. Fantastic job, Eveline, thank you!!
