Some words from magalerie......
First of all, I would like to thank all of you for participating in this week's challenge. It meant a lot to me that you were 124 to take the time to create a treasury with my Keep Calm photo. I know that making a collection can sometimes be very time consuming as you are looking for the right colors, the perfect items to create a cohesive selection.
Thanks to you I spent four wonderful days, discovering new collections hour after hour. It was really great to see how you used my print and imagined different themes. I really enjoyed looking at all of them : from the spa treasuries to the home decor ones, from the nautical themes to the farm ones and from the white collections to the pastels or woody ones. Most of you decided to create very delicate and soothing treasuries and I found myself very often making “wow” sounds as I was clicking on them and discovering all the soft tones.
At the end of the challenge I had narrowed down my choices to 18 collections (Serenity by Emilyparkesart, In therapy... by Tutika, French Country Farmhouse by waterlilyjewels, w o o d g r a i n & w h i t e by theelmsvintage, Just Breath.. by riversongrapture, Living Simply Is the BEST Way to Keep a Calm and Happy Home by TwigsAndLace, Feeling Farm Fresh by demossdesigns, You're the C R E A M in my C O F F E E by olivesandpearls, WOODn't it be Lovely... by KitzieG, Let your load get lighter and lighter.... by luluhopping1983, Fill my home with AWESOME by rainestudios, Safe in the Country by palimpsestic, The notes you don't play by dilettant, calm, cool, and collectible by Montagyoo, A River Runs Through It by Celessa, A Calm Afternoon by gildinglilies, FROM my attic Perch by MollyFinds and What Lies Within by kcompliment).
They were all very beautiful but I really felt connected to one of them. It was w o o d g r a i n & w h i t e by theelmsvintage. I really liked the fact that she focused on just the brown and white tones, and also that she chose items from so different categories (vintage, handmade, new, old, art, home decor, accessories, clothing, lingerie, dish, etc.) but at the end it created a very cohesive collection, like a home does. I felt good just by looking at it. So Congrats Kate from theelmsvintage !
And thank you again, to all the participants. I already miss receiving your “you’ve been treasured” messages. :)
